Ashley Moseley
Children’s Author, STEM Education Creator & Marketing Director for Inspire EdVentures
Ashley Moseley is a children’s author and education creator based in North Carolina. She writes STEM-focused children’s books that combine storytelling, wildlife conservation, literacy, and hands-on learning for classrooms, libraries, and families.
As Marketing Director for Inspire EdVentures, Ashley helps develop and share educational initiatives, STEM toolkits, and literacy resources that connect books with real-world science and conservation experiences.
Ashley grew up in the mountains of Boone, North Carolina, where her love for creativity, education, and the outdoors began early. She attended Appalachian State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Communication with a minor in dance, later adding a Certificate in Digital Marketing from UNC.
Ashley’s background in arts education began at just four years old through competitive and performance clogging. She has performed throughout the United States and internationally, including Disney World, Las Vegas, Hawaii, Tennessee, and Montreal. While attending Appalachian State University, Ashley founded Appalachian Rhythm Clogging and Dance, which has grown into an award-winning studio focused on performance, mentorship, and arts education.
In 2024, Appalachian Rhythm dancers represented the United States at the Dance World Cup in Montreal, earning Gold and Bronze awards and performing in the Closing Ceremony Gala. Ashley is a Certified Clogging Instructor through the National Clogging Hall of Fame and is also certified in Classical Pilates.
Today, Ashley continues to combine creativity and education through writing, publishing, and educational resource development. Her children’s books include Nacho House Cat (2024), Why Did the Tapir Cross the Street? (2025) as part of the Into the Jungle series, and The Birdie Told Me (2025).
Ashley’s recent books are part of a broader conservation and educational initiative developed alongside Inspire EdVentures and The Belize Zoo. Through storytelling, classroom resources, and hands-on STEM activities, the initiative encourages children to explore wildlife conservation, biodiversity, literacy, and global environmental stewardship.
In addition to her work in publishing and education, Ashley owns and operates Payne’s Advertising, a family-founded marketing company specializing in branding, digital strategy, and creative communications.
At home, Ashley is a wife and mother who values family time above everything else. She also enjoys running, fitness, writing, traveling, and spending time outdoors — especially at the beach.
