  • why habitats matter

  • why wild animals are not pets

  • how conservation helps protect wildlife

ABOUT THE BOOK

STEM Learning Through Storytelling & Wildlife Science

Ashley Moseley created Nacho House Cat as a fun and approachable way to introduce children to wildlife conservation and science concepts through reading.

The educational science connections within the story were developed alongside Dr. Michael Windelspecht of Inspire EdVentures, lead textbook author for McGraw Hill, helping ensure the animal science remains accurate while still accessible and entertaining for young readers.

The story blends:

  • rhyming literacy development

  • wildlife education

  • rainforest science

  • conservation awareness

  • curiosity-driven learning

making it ideal for classrooms, libraries, homeschool learning, and family read-alouds.
